This is phase four of a six year plan to expand pre-kindergarten to all Mecklenburg four-year-olds. It is an incredible opportunity to provide a high quality educational experience for all children in Mecklenburg County in order to prepare them for kindergarten and school success.

We are now accepting applications from all temporary, four- and five-star licensed centers in Mecklenburg County that are interested in becoming MECK Pre-K sites beginning in Fall 2022-2023. The Site Selection Application download is provided below. Original completed applications are due January 6th, no later than 4 p.m.

Please note that in order to be considered for a MECK Pre-K classroom, your site must have a four or five star rating by June 15, 2022.
