Come see MECK Pre-K! We can do MECK Pre-K enrollments, sign families up for Dolly Parton Imagination Library, sign-ups and inform parents of all our Smart Start programs, including The Basics, Ready4K and Guiding Parents to Services. Please ask for MECK Pre-K at the information desk.

Smart Start to MECK Pre-K Screening Event

At the screening, your child will be guided through simple, play-based activities by trained staff. These activities are designed to feel fun and engaging, usually take about 30 to 45 minutes. Developmental screenings are a positive first step in preparing your child for success in school. They are easy, supportive, and completely free for families.

Charlotte Kids Fest

Charlotte Kids Fest is a free, family-friendly event featuring six interactive zones—Create, Dance, Discover, NC Science Fest, Play, and Go—designed to engage children under 10 with crafts, performances, science activities, outdoor games, and large vehicles, along with live stage entertainment throughout the day.
