You may have wondered, “How does MECK Pre-K find high quality educators?” You may have even considered a career in early education yourself. In either case, we’d like to give you the inside scoop on how dedicated teachers come to MECK Pre-K.
If you have visited our Careers Page, you may already know the benefits of working for MECK Pre-K. MECK Pre-K teachers receive the same pay as Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) teachers, plus health insurance and retirement benefits.
MECK Pre-K classrooms are located in licensed childcare centers, and we work with those centers to ensure that all teachers working in MECK Pre-K classrooms have the access to the same enriched curriculum, resources, professional development opportunities, and other forms of support.
However, MECK Pre-K differs from CMS in that MECK Pre-K teachers are employees of the child development center where the MECK Pre-K classroom is located. So, when they apply to be a teacher or assistant teacher, they are actually applying for that child care center.
